Props and Costumes
Hi everyone I'm back. Today I'm talking about the props and the coustumes. Music videos rely significantly on props for establishing settings, exciting people, and indicating a certain time and place. They can play a vital role in the movie, strengthening the cultural context and giving the scene a more genuine sense. The props we are using are red Solo cups, a car, and a phone. The cups will be part of the party scene in the music video. The cups will be used for the lyrics, "I threw the party of the century, and people came over, no one left sober." The cups would simulate the effect that everyone was leaving intoxicated. The cups would be empty as everybody walked out like they had the most fun in their lives. In the movie, the main character hosts a wild party at his house. As the camera pans across the scene, we see red Solo cups scattered everywhere, symbolizing the debauchery and excess of the party. The cups serve as a visual representation of the lyrics, creating a memorable and impactful moment for viewers. The car represents his freedom and escapism, while the phone represents The car and the phone would be used for these lyrics: "Where are you at right now? Let me pull up and let's talk about it I finally got some time alone and I thought about it I swear to God, your love is war, it's so much I can take I been thuggin' for so long, bae, give me a break." In this scene, my teammate Aurum would be in the car, pretending like he's on the phone, talking to Suse. This will show the beginning part of the lyrics, when he's asking where are you are right now, and can I come over. The costumes we will wear is regular clothes. The song doesn't require us to wear a certain type of clothing so be all agreed on was to just do our regular going out clothes. Aurum's actions and dialogue represent the lyrics of the song, expressing his longing for Suse and asking to spend time together. This decision creates a sense of authenticity and relatability, as the audience can easily connect with the characters and their feelings. By wearing regular clothes, the performers can fully embody the emotions and portray a genuine and heartfelt interaction between Aurum and Suse. The simplicity of their outfits enhances the rawness of their connection, making it easier for the audience to empathize with their longing and desire to spend time together. The costumes we will wear is regular clothes. The song doesn't require us to wear a certain type of clothing so be all agreed on was to just do our regular going out clothes. The choice of regular clothes for costumes allows the focus to remain on the emotions and conversation depicted in the scene rather than being distracted by elaborate outfits. Additionally, the use of regular clothes adds a sense of relatability to the characters, making their story more accessible to the audience. This relatability helps create a deeper emotional connection between the viewers and the performers, as they can see themselves in similar situations and understand the universal longing for human connection. The absence of extravagant costumes also allows for a more intimate and authentic portrayal of Aurum and Suse's relationship, as it strips away any superficiality and highlights the genuine emotions at play.
